About Us

Locally Grown

Our Farm

We are firmly rooted in our mission pillars: sustainable agriculture and community engagement. At our MOFGA certified farm based in the Seacoast of Maine, we use regenerative farming practices to give more than we take from the land. Our passion for clean, healthy soil allows us to create the healthiest hemp products out there.

People First

Who We Are

Coyote River Hemp Company started in the winter of 2017 by native New Englander, Rian Bedard. He is known throughout the community for pioneering one of the first commercial and residential curbside compost businesses in the country. The experience of starting Mr. Fox combined with his Permaculture Design and Medical Cannabis Wellness Advisor certifications provides the roots for which Coyote River stands strongly above.

Our farm manager, Justin Valentine, brings his experience to the team with 5 years of farming in the Seacoast area. From managing a USDA certified organic farm at UNH and getting his Permaculture Design Certificate, to growing gourmet mushrooms and raising non-GMO chickens on pasture at Vernon Family Farm, he brings sustainable, organic, agricultural practices to the farm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do your products contain THC?

All of our products are third-party lab tested and contain the legal limit of less than 0.3% THC. Our CBD products are non-psychoactive and will not leave you feeling “high.”

What dosage should I start at?

Everyone’s reaction to CBD is different. We recommend starting with a low dose and slowly working your way up to the results you are after. It can take a few weeks of consistently using CBD for your body’s receptors to turn on and fully recognize it. For best results, incorporate CBD into your daily routine.

What is the difference between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolate?

Full Spectrum CBD contains all naturally occurring compounds of the hemp plant. These compounds include cannabinoids, terpenes, and essential oils.

In Broad Spectrum CBD the THC is completely removed but it still contains a variety of cannabinoids, terpenes, and essential oils.

Isolate is known as the purest form of CBD. With CBD isolate, all other naturally-occurring plant compounds are removed.

Why do you use MCT oil?

Medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is a fatty acid derived from coconut oil. Pairing MCT oil with CBD helps with absorption and allows your body to start processing CBD right away.
